R56 Wheel Spacer Question

Wheel Spacer Question
so i just purchased some coil overs and while I'm waiting for them to arrive I'm looking into getting spacers, i have BBS CV wheels and the offset is 38. i was looking at getting 8mm spacers, but i do not feel comfortable without using a wheel lock. does anyone know where i can get an extra length wheel lock that would work with a 8mm spacer?

I would go with either a 5mm or 15mm spacer. When you are less than 15mm and more than 5mm I feel you don't have enough of the hub to support and center of the wheel properly as you are covering up hub too much.
We then offer wheel stud kits that are longer to use with the spacers. Getting longer bolts that are wheel locks are hard, and even harder for just 8mm.

If you get a stuck wheel you can hit it with a rubber 3 lb mallot at various angles to loosen the wheel. Just be careful if you have the car jacked up (use jack stands or blocks).
Using wheel spacers will put more stress on the wheel bearings but for narrow spacers it's not that big a deal.

I don't see any one selling extended 14x1.25 locking lug bolts online.
One option is to buy the extended lug bolts that you need (seem to be easy to find on ebay) and then buy locking covers. They cover the head of the bolt and require a sort of key to remove the cover. I don't remember the name or brand, but they are out there.
Another option is to convert your lug bolts to studs and buy extended studs and open ended locking lug nuts. You could also buy closed ended locking lug nuts, but it can be a little tricky finding studs that are long enough to allow your lug nuts to capture enough threads to be safe while at the same time being short enough so they don't bottom out at the outer end of the lug nut.

As for sticking to the hubs. That is why all our WMW wheel spacers are machined with a very slight recess to reduce the contact area and prevent the spacer from sticking to the hub. Very nice feature not offered on most spacers.

With OEM stock 15 inch wheels, and wanting to push the wheel flush with the fender trim what mm spacer would be needed? I believe the OEM wheels are 45 offset (43?) and they are 5.5 inches wide. I want to put 195/60/15 tires on the wheels so there will be some tire over hang on the wheel lip. I typically see where ET 30 are close to flush but I know the wheel width has a factor in the calculation and 5.5 inch wheels are narrow. Help would be appreciated. Thank you.

What size tires (brand and model)?
What c/o did you install, and how much are you lowering the car?
What makes you so sure you need spacers, and exactly 8mm width ?
If you don't, sooner or later you will run into much bigger problems than missing wheels!

If you can't park your car safely without wheel locks, it's time to move.

also, there are plenty of places i have to go where i do not trust leaving my car without wheel locks, it happened to a buddy of mine with his stock wheels on his wry and i really don't want it to happen to my BBS. so its important to get locks for my personal reasons.

I have splined lugbolts but wish they were maybe a little longer. Maybe I should convert to studs...not sure

Thanks for the purchase, make sure you clean the hub and rotor hat face, put a little anti-seize on the hub and use our ECS Tuning MINI spacers and you will be fine. Also make sure you clean the connection point on the new wheels of old corrosion from the rotor / hub.

The video shows the measure method with the new wheels tires installed to get the correct size spacer. Do you have the wheel / tires installed already, if so you just need to measure.
