Returning Member Just saying hello
Hey guys,
I joined few years back when my wife and I picked up a 2003 cooper in British Racing Green. We had some fun with it but my wife felt guilty having a toy so she sold it off and then spent the money on home improvements which didn't make her feel guilty for some reason..hmmmm.
So moving forward, we bought an 09 (R56?) red automatic last fall for my daughter to use and it's been pretty good except for the funky transmission, strange noises it makes and the failed flex pipe in the exhaust. Pretty much standard for the type I suppose but she loves it and is buying it off us this week.
I'll still be maintaining it so not much will change really except that my wife has decided that she wants one again so we will be getting a 2008 automatic in about two weeks.
I have no doubt that it won't be perfect and I will be busy on here researching the issues and solutions. Looking forward to hanging out here again!
Oh and Happy Easter to everyone!

Happy Easter to you my brother from another Mini Mother! Lol Good to hear your getting another ...they are fun cars with tons of personality. I have used this forum as my bible and all has gone well with what I want to accomplish for maintenance and upkeep. The folks here are just great! Always willing to jump in and offer their help in any way . Just a great group of people. Good luck in your search and please be sure to post pics when you get in your new ride.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
I will be sure to keep you in the loop as we progress on the second Mini in the stable. It's a shame that they need to be automatics as there are plenty of nice "S" manuals out there that would be fun to own and play with but for now I must keep the ladies in my life happy.

Yah it seems we are destined to have Red Mini Coopers. The 08 that is coming in two weeks is all red including the roof. I haven't seen too many that had the same colored roof as the body panels. I think it will stand out especially if we can get a nice set of rims on it.
