Engine error code P0014?
I've tried numerous things to set the engine straight and fix the code.
The motor is sluggish and has barely any power to keep up with highway driving. Could it be one of the VANOS solenoids? If so, how do i test which one is faulty?
I have a 2007 mini cooper non s with the n12 motor. it has 53000 miles on it and im hoping that it's nothing to serious...

P0014 refers to VVT(variable valve timing) or VCT(variable camshaft timing). This would be for your exhaust side, or front cam. Usually this results in hard starting, poor idle or stalling.
You could try removing the exhaust vanos selenoid and checking if it is gunked up and cleaning it with brake cleaner. I have seen a few post where replacement solved the problem.
