Key Memory

Hi, on my 08 R56 FJCW (yes they came out in 08 in AUS), the bloody key memory thing is stuffed.

Car was at a workshop for 3 months with no battery connected so it lost all of it's settings. I've reset everything but it never remembers my key settings like Spedo (show km/h), Welcome Lights, Home Lights etc.

I know the modules are working because when I do the cluster hack and do the reset everything behaves itself until I lock and unlock a few times, then it reverts to the settings for the key.

So I am assuming the key needs programming but I don't have the key program menu (they don't have that in early AUS cars). Is my only option to get the dealer to program the settings back in, or is there some hack?

Cheers

Sounds like the dealer thing , because it should all be set after a new battery was put in and you set them to what you liked. Also check to charge the battery in the key holder, rotate the key fobs and give it a shot.
