Any Body Try This New Boost Tube From JM Turbo Coopers?

While doing some online window shopping I came across a new product they are offering HERE

Here's a pic:

Any thoughts on this? Also, further down the road when I decide to get Meth, am I still going to be able to tap this for a Meth injector?

I haven't tried it looks like aluminum I assume sorry didn't click the link and actually it should be easy to just drill run a tap and you'll be good probably easier than the plastic as the plastic just grabs the bit and the bit will actually thread into if your not careful

What's the point of changing that pipe..?

Sorry maybe that's a stupid question. What else is achieved beyond deleting the noisemaker??

This pipe replaces this piece:

So the theory is the air has less restriction and its of larger diameter.

Yeah but the starting and ending diameters are the same. I would imagine because of fluid dynamics as long as the overall area of any given section of the pipe is the same area as the inlet/outlet (whichever is larger) your flow is peak. If fact, making a pipe larger than the inlet and outlet would just create turbulence and slow down the air. The OEM tube definitely looks big enough to achieve peak flow, I imagine it's just made by molding one piece of constant-diameter ABS piping. I highly doubt the JM pipe would do anything on its own.

Looks nice, but their dyno claims also state that the runs were done with their 3 inch catless downpipe also installed. I would think that the catless DP had more to do with the power gains than that tube. I have noticed that the stock plastic tube on my 2011 MCS seems to a bit restricted in the middle, where clearance is needed for the head/valve cover. Maybe the increased inside diameter of the thinner aluminum piece would help some? Not sure until the tube is dyno-run with a stock downpipe. Then we could make some comparisons, maybe....

That's what I'm thinking...
