Oops! made a mistake, shifting question

Ok I will fess up, I did something stupid. I have had overheating issues and have been losing coolant on my 2008 Mini S. I saw some coolant pooled up around the thermostat area. In my attempt to replace the thermostat housing, I was trying to move everything out of the way. I mistakenly took off the plate next to the thermostat that is part of the shift linkage. I put it back, but I guess something got moved. I do not have a 5th or 6th gear now. It feels as if all my gears have moved to the right of the shifter. Any ideas? I assume I need to remove the plate and move the linkage one way or the other but I do not know which direction to try.

I did that but it still feels off. 1st gear feels like it is where 3rd gear should be and I have no 5th or 6th still.
