Glad that was all that was needed to resolve your misfire!
@MSMLST Typically, I'd stick with Genuine or the OEM supplier coils. Here if needed.

Stupid question time... while I'm experiencing these "coil" symptoms, stuttering, stuttering during rain, no determinable rhyme or reason when it happens. I'm don't get an "Check Engine" light on my dash. So of course when I hook up an OBD2... it has nothing to report. So my question is, hooked up the OBD2 and used OBD Auto Doctor to read the data. Under "Misfire" category there is a green check mark, which tells me everything is fine.
What am I missing here? No check engine light and no misfire reading. Plan to take out the spark plugs this weekend to get a visual on the burn and gaps.
Thanks,

I have no clue what conditions actually set off the CEL, because I had a misfire issue after tuning and it took about 2 days of the misfire getting worse (I was troubleshooting spark plugs and stuff and coils were the last thing I wanted to do) before I misfired constantly for about 2 seconds (sounded like a muffled machine gun) and I got a CEL and it went into limp mode.

Thank you GAT, it's appreciated!
OK, let me bring everyone up-to-date;
Car: 2009 Mini Cooper (Non-S)
Mileage: 74,080 (bought CPO w/33k on it) serviced by MINI up until my ext/war ran out a few months ago.
Equipment:
BAFX Products 34t5 Bluetooth OBDII Scan Tool for Android Devices
OBD Doctor App - Running on a Nokia Lumia 929 (Icon) Windows 10 - (nice feature, it allows me to email myself the data. Pretty handy.) I believe the reason why I didn't get any "codes" on my initial run was, I didn't know I had to manually turn on the specific "sensors" in the app that I wanted/needed monitored. User error!
Symptoms:
Hesitation/stuttering at no discernable time, engine temp, or mileage
So after learning a bit more about the app, I got TWO "Pending" codes on my 25-mile drive home tonight.
On one app/drive cycle: P0015: "B" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 1) (Powertrain, Generic)
On second app/drive cycle: P0301: Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected (Powertrain, Generic)
CYCLE meaning during the one trip, the app was turned off and back on.
So, where do I go from here, what should be my next step? Remove the plugs to try to detect any noticeable difference in the plug on Cyl-1 and proceed from there e.g., buy an ignition coil or... ?

No sooner do I comment in this thread I blew a spark plug and I'm misfiring. Here's a PSA, don't ever buy Autozone's Autolite spark plugs. I put it in (didn't fit in my specialty socket either) and the threads were slightly too small and it actually didn't tighten like the NGKs do. Plugged in the coil pack, started up and the plug blew out of the threads. Luckily I didn't damage the engine any.
Only buy NGKs or OEM people.

Well, $22 for an OBD2 Bluetooth device, $10 for an OBD App, $28 for a Bosch Ignition Coil... $58 bucks (total) later and I should have the issue solved. Will monitor the car this week for symptoms and report back. But it made me think of how much money this forum has saved people over the years, makes you curious doesn't it?

BTW... if you don't know, you can sign into Amazon using "Smile.Amazon.com" and have a portion go to your favorite charity of your choosing (from a list), so everything that qualifies for that program that I purchase... a portion goes to "Wounded Warrior Project" my charity of choice.
