Help trouble shooting symptom
Recently my '10 MCS has been making a strange noise. Sounds like when the tire shop leaves the huge sticker on a new tire. It was pretty faint at first but is becoming louder. I jacked the car up and tried to put some lateral force into the wheel which is near where the sound is coming from.
Thinking that maybe the drivers side front wheel bearing is going bad; didn't notice any noise or feel anything while turning the wheel. Took the drivers side wheel off and looked at the drivers side axle thinking maybe I had a torn axle boot; nope no torn boot.
Was driving it very slowly going in a clockwise direction and could definitely hear the noise coming from the drivers front corner area; even pushing the car with the wheel fully locked to the right I could hear something.
Is it common for these axles to go bad even without a torn axle boot?
Last year I replaced all of my brake pads/rotors with EBC red stuff pads and slotted/dimpled EBC rotors in the front and slotted EBC rotors in the back. I have to say I'm not impressed with this combination. Under hard braking they are much better than stock although there is some feedback through the steering wheel. Under light-medium braking I feel like these brakes suck!! I get TOO much feedback through the steering wheel which I don't like and my wife hates!
Also on really bad roads I feel like you have to really man handle this thing as the feed back through the steering wheel feels like the car is all over the place. On smooth roads car feels just fine.
Anyway thanks for your time, and I appreciate any help.

Not sure how to post a video.. I could record it in the morning? How do you upload a video here?
Too much feedback as in it shakes the hell out of the steering wheel!!
I haven't owned a fwd car in about 14 years and I don't remember my old Honda prelude ever shaking the hell out of the steering wheel when braking..

If your steering wheel shakes under braking that makes me feel like you could possibly have warped rotors. That is not normal and shouldn't happen. Has it done this from the start of when you installed them? As for the noise you're hearing, this excerpt is from our wheel bearing DIY:
A faulty wheel bearing can exhibit a few warning signs. The most obvious would be a howling or grinding noise from a front wheel while in motion. This noise would get louder when you steer side to side. If worse when steering to the right, the left side bearing is usually at fault and the opposite holds true for when steering left. You can check for a noisy wheel bearing with the vehicle stationary too. Jack the front of your vehicle and rotate the front wheel; while rotating, place your hand on the front coil spring. You should be able to pick up a vibration in the spring. There may also be free-play in the bearing. You can check for free-play by jacking the front of your vehicle and wiggling the wheel up and down. If there is any free-play, replace the bearing.

When you get a bad wheel bearing you will hear a low pitch growl that when changing direction will get louder and quieter dependent on direction.
Let me know what you find .

The chances of you having a bad axle are slim to none. We see cars in that have torn boots and near no grease in them multiple visits until it's fixed and they are still fine.
As for the EBC brakes, there is a reason we stopped using them awhile ago. From multiple customer reports of the adhesive on the pads failing under extreme braking situations to the noise a drilled rotor generates (most people aren't okay with that). We have had great feedback and luck with SP Performance components for daily drivers.
