The wheel well panel rivets are HERE.

That's what I don't understand either. Will do it the the first drive of the day but never again until the next day. Thank you for the link for the panel screws. Do you know what screw I need for the underbody that attaches the fabric paneling to the underside of the car.. The Passanger has a silver screw and the left side is missing the screw which allows the wheel well fabric to remain loose..

Did you check the brakes and the lip on the rotor ?

I can help you with the liners I had them out.

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=51_6296

There is a clip 07146981767 and screw that's already on the under panel. I have done the GP2 underbody belly pan conversion before.

Screw from underbody splash guard: 07147177492

On the driver side there is no use for the inner hole.

Do you have a pic of that area?

You're very welcome. Are you talking about the 10mm nut below (red arrow)?

This is on the driver side and beginning to think I should just replace the whole fender well liner.

Ah I see. The front doesn't have anything but the C-Clip HERE. The back of the wheel liner, closer to the door has those 2 that hold it down in my image above. Look at this diagram HERE. It'll help you. If the liner is in good shape and it's not cracked/torn or worn you shouldn't need to replace it. From that image it looks to be fine. Otherwise, if you do we have it HERE.

Clips replaced. I've set up a service appointment to have the mini checked. I'll update after they look at it.

Sounds good. Make sure they check out that pan and see what they recommend as far as replacement. Good luck!

I'm hoping the dealer will replace it while they have it- at their cost. Or a discount. Doesn't hurt to try. I also purchased an extended warranty today, just in case any new issues arise in the future.

UPDATE: Ok guys, MINI Cooper is replacing the trans pan and fixing an oil leak at their cost. The noise I was hearing was in fact normal and part of the turbo system. Air filter enclosure was loose caused a slight pitch when breathing air. So I'm very pleased with the outcome. I get my MiNI back tomorrow. They have me in a loaner 2016 mini hardtop and I do not like it as much as my 2011. It's to smooth and quiet.. Also it doesn't feel like it has as much get-up-and-go as mine.. Did they change motors or something?

Very happy to hear this. Glad all is well and you'll be enjoying your MINI worry free again. Yes, the motor is different in the F56 model. The 2011 N18 engine in yours is a good year/motor to have. Just be sure to take care of it and it will take care of you. If you ever need anything in the future please don't hesitate to let me know.

I will be getting the skid plate for this car. Now that the under body is fixed. How difficult is that to install?

I think the Rennline skidplate is only for manual trans cars, unless they have a new one out for auto's. Jake Lee appears to have an auto.....

The skid plate is for manual and automatic cars. It just doesn't have a hole for servicing the automatic transmission so you'll have to remove it to do so.

Quote from their website:

Fits Automatic and Manual transmission models but does not have cutout for Automatic transmission fluid drain plug

Well I received another call from the Mini Dealer. They said they heard the noise I was talking about, and that it was not the turbo.. It's some valve on the top of the engine.. They said it's a known issue.. Anyway they are replacing that also. I'm glad they actually heard what I was talking about.. I'm not crazy after all.

Might get it back today

Yeah Mini service said it was a value or valve cover on top of the engine block. I hope to get it back today. It's been 5 days and I have some upgrades I ordered waiting to be put on. Ready to get that tackled

Seems everything is getting fixed up and it should be all good to go so that you can enjoy it. Just be sure to keep your eyes on things and when things arise like this just try to fix them right away. Glad they're fixing the issue and it's at no cost to you.

Because of these issues happening as soon as I took delivery I just purchased a mechanical maintence warranty for 5 years, 160,000 miles through Endurance.

Good purchase. A MINI and an extended warranty is a good idea. It'll give you ease of mind and then you wont have to worry about things like these when they arise. And of course, if you need anything I am here.
