sport's seat to Standard seat swap

i'm looking to see if i can swap out the heated sports seats (yes they were upgraded) in Justa to a Standard just seat. For me, the sports seats are just too uncomfortable.

what would i need to look out for? and do you think there is interested in this type of swap (my sports seats for standard seats?)

Yea, its easy , just do the same. You should unhook the battery before anything.

This is a funny thread but you just remove the seats and unclip the harness after you unbolted the battery. Also mark sure when you install the new seats go in and the bolts are very tight to the floor and secure.

What you can do is easy. Mini uses the same seat frame in Minis whether it is a Sport Seat or normal Just a seat. I had Justa seats in my Mini and found someone who converted their Sports seats to all leather. I purchased the seat covers which have the form attached to them on the inside and had a upholstery shop make the seat cover swap. While he did this I had him install the lumbar support. If you are interested I will sell you my Just a seat covers , they are vinyl and not leather

even if you disconnect the battery, the airbag lights will come on. make sure you have a scan tool to reset the lights.

I did have the airbag light coming on on two Mini's that i was working on. I had a scanner to reset the light.

I do have other issues with programming though if you can help with ECTuning. My car wont go pass 3K rmps. I did program few modules including the DSC (the light still on) and i calibrated wheel angel sensor, adjust DSC sensor. after that, the car wont rev pass 3k when im driving on any gear.

Yea, it trips if you have any residual power in the system while the battery is unplugged completely. Also when you hook back up the seats it the plug is not in all the way it can be tripped ( very touchy ), every MINI I have seen did not have it trip with the battery unpluged way before hand?

Whats the CEL, did you read it with a good reader , sounds like its in limp mode.

You could be right. because i used to unhook the battery and right after that do the seats.

I dont have any CEL lights. I will check with INPA or another scanner to see if there any codes in the DME. is there something in the KOMBI module that puts a limit on the revving?

Ok, its limits when it think its a limp mode or if the engine / transmission will be damaged in any way. With good reader clear it and see what pops up. Under a full scan you will see it with our schwaben tool. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post4191051
