2008 low mileage preventative maintenance?

2008 R56 Hatch has only 13,500 miles.

Maintenance to date has been only routine.

Not even a tune up.

Is there any preventative maintenance / replacements that one should consider at this time?

Thank you for your insight.

there probably is. just search for what you'd like to replace. it'll probably break eventually.

You are smart to stay ahead of any potential problems. As you approach 30,000 miles here is what you should consider in addition to regular oil and filter changes:

Cabin Air Filter change
Check for leaks - transmission, power steering, exhaust system, and fuel system
Check fluid levels - brake system and fluid level, clean brake contact points, inspect disc surfaces and pad life
Check for play and wear in control arm bushings, steering tie rods, steering linkage, and axle joints
Check tire wear
Check cooling system
Electrical: Check MINI diagnostic computer for stored faults, all lights, signals, and reset computer

Of course, you don't have to wait until 30,000 miles to do these! Call us if we can be of help.

Given that it's only 13K on the clock.

I would suggest the following that is fairly inexpensive - just for peace of mind.

brake flush
coolant flush
replace tires (it's an 8 yrs. old)

Best of luck!
