Alta BOV Spring

I've done quite a bit of research already but cannot find any definitive feedback. I'm interested in this mod due to price. Is it really worth the time and effort or is it simply a "placebo effect" type of mod?

I'm currently on Manic Stage 1+ and boost in the 19-20psi range. Will adding the Alta BOV stiffened spring yield any noticeable benefits or gains?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the bump. Does anyone have any honest input they can share? Thanks.

I considered upgrading the BOV or the Diverter value as well but read more than a handful of posts where members are plagued with post install error codes and problems

I recommend this $20 mod, if you are running more than stock boost. The spring is stiffer so it holds the DV shut at high psi and closes faster when it needs to open and close. It's a noticeable on a tuned motor and you can hear the difference in pitch, sharpness and speed

Is the Forge recirc valve setup recommended or is the spring mod enough? Just curious since I'm hitting similar boost levels as OP.

I use the Forge DV with Red spring, in my GP and just the Alta spring in my JCW stage 2 CM. As long as the stock DV is in good shape, it works great with Alta spring mQubed Motorsport, Manic Tuning Dealer
