R56 fjcw hunting on idle
Hi guys, Im after some help regarding my 2008 r56 fjcw and am hoping there may be an explanation for the issues I'm having.
My car has an erratic idle it hunts very fast between 750 and 800rpm. It's worse from cold but still stutters a little when hot. This has gradually appeared over time but has been more noticeable since fitting a ttv lightweight solid flywheel and race clutch.
I have recently had the de-coke service carried out and a high pressure fuel pump. The car has never performed or started so well but the idle issue is still present.
The car has also been into bmw on the diagnostic machine which recorded no faults.
Has anyone else had any similar issues.
Any help would be amazing, thank you in advance
Ryan

Try cleaning your throttle plate with some spray cleaner or also try cleaning your MAF sensor with MAF cleaner. Both things control how much air is getting to your engine and if they get gummed up then the airflow can be sporadic causing weird idle issues. Also check your vacuum lines, especially PCV on the top, passenger side of the valve cover to make sure everything is tight.

Thank you for the reply Nathan I'll give that a try
