Few Things that may be wrong. opinions/experience needed.

Hello all,

I purchased a 2011 mini s as a daily and have a few concerns i would like bring up to see if they might be potential issue. for reference, it currently it has about 81,500 miles. on to the concerns,

1. When ever accelerating I hear a slight whine that raises in pitch as the RPMs climb. It does not matter how much load or throttle you give. It will do the same noise at WOT or with enough throttle to just let the RPMS climb. To me, it almost sounds like the same noise as a power steering pump/ pulley doing bad. Maybe even a tensioner. It has not gottnen worse however, its somewhat annoying. Keep in mind it isnt very loud but noticeable.

2. This next issue will show its self under hard load conditions specifically, after 2500 RPM to about 3500 RPM and usually in 1st or 2nd gear. There is a slight shake, vibration, in the wheel that you can feel in seat. I would describe it as maybe bad axles causing the shake around where max TQ starts. After 3500 RPMS it goes away to red line. Another way i can compare it to is a slight wheel hop associated with front wheel drive cars. (its defiantly not spinning tires, but has the same feeling)

Let me know if anyone else has experienced this that can say that its common or that XYZ part should get checked out right away ETC. Thank you for your responses!

1. It's turbo whine, perfectly normal.
2. this can be caused by many different things. I'm thinking it suspension related, specifically worn bushings or mount, but I may be completely wrong.
