Which part number for 2010 R56 MCS serpentine belt?

I noticed that my drive belt (serpentine belt) is starting to crack. I was about to order a new one, but I find two different OEM belts that fit my 2010 Mini Cooper S hardtop:

http://parts.seattlemini.com/a/MINI_2010_Cooper-S/_51507_5816113/Belt-Drive-Water-PumpAlternator/11_3917.html

http://parts.seattlemini.com/a/MINI_2010_Cooper-S/_51507_5816114/Belt-Drive-Water-PumpAlternator/11_4538.html

Does it matter which one of these I buy?

And, while I'm replacing this belt, are there any easy preventative maintenance tasks I should be doing while I'm in there?

Time to get familiar with the RealOEM web site --- full illustrated parts lists for our Mini's. Here's a link --- http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select It should answer your question.

I don't know of any PM's to do while you're in there.

Great! That helped:

I believe it's the Seattle Mini link ending in 3917. Part number 11287566789.

The safest way is to look at the prints on the serpentine belt, if possible (brand and model).
That's what I did in my Base since there was 3 serpentine belt options for my model.

Good luck!
