I had a CEL ( limp mode activated) and limp mode would come and go. Usually when the car has been driven a couple times in a day the car runs at full power. The 2 codes that got thrown were the P15D and the P0087. I been reading all on the forum and Google and they say it's a recall and covered under warranty/recall. I don't have a warranty as I bought it used and failed to get one added on. Could this still be under a BMW warranty/recall? Not sure how to get this looked at without paying a ton of money to get fixed....

I read it's the HPFP and a fuel rail pressure too low.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna Have to pay outta pocket but any insight or help would be appreciated. Thanks

 

A five minute call to the nearest Mini Service Department could answer your question. This is a question that should be directed in their direction as only a run of the car's VIN by Mini can answer the question.

If it is HPFP and your VIN is covered - no need to wait to get the car running again.

Oh ok. That's what I was wondering if it was under the recall list. So it is...but VIN specific. I appreciate the response Borchera.
