We recently installed our rally light bar onto the shop's R56. We wanted to make a post with detailed instructions on how easy it is to install the light bar. First you want to remove the bumper cover. Then the light bar mounts through existing holes in the radiator supports, these holes are quite big enough so you have to drill them out but it does not deteriorate the structural integrity of the radiator support. After drilling the holes you simply bolt the bar onto the radiator support. To reinstall the bumper cover you'll need to trim a very small amount of the lower grille mesh to allow the light mounts themselves to come through. After that you are ready to install the lights of your choice and wire them in. *Please note that the lights in the picture are not included with the light bar bracket*
Also keep in mind guy's does not fit with after market front mount! Tryed it with my forge front mount then' tryed again on a buddy's that was installing a helix and still no go! Great looking bar tho! Still have it laying in shop! If any one interested !
Wheres the interference problem with the larger intercooler? We'd like to get that fixed. Could you just space your bar out from the radiator support some?
Yeah you would have to extend it about an inch and an half maybe two' but then you'd probably have to cut the tabs down' The other thing I was thinking you might have a problem with is the bumper in the bar hitting each other ! Maybe start Taylor fitting each bar depending on the front mount !
