This thread has probably gone on way too long so I'll do one last update here and any future stuff will be in all new threads.
Today I got around to checking my catch can to see how it was managing. I was quite surprised to find that it was completely full. I drained it into an oil drain pan to see what it consisted of. It appears to be 95% water with just a hint of oil residue. This is being caused by my wife doing a ton of very short drives (5 minutes) in cold weather that is at or just below freezing. I told her that she needs to drive more, to which she just said "whatever" and off she went. I am concerned that the water may freeze and block the breather or even bust the catch can. Not sure what the answer is but it may be that I will need to run the stock PCV during our cold winter months as it doesn't allow the water to accumulate.
