No exhaust burble/pop from 2011 MCS in Sport Mode

Hi all, I just picked myself up a 2011 MCS this past weekend.

One of the selling points for me was the supposed exhaust/pop burble while in Sport mode. However my car doesn't seem to make any fun noises while in Sport mode.

The car has obviously been modified. It's got coilovers, short shifter and exhaust. The exhaust is at least cat-back.

Any ideas on why my car isn't making the noises on overrun?
-Are aftermarket exhausts known to reduce the effect?
-Are there any ECU tunes out there which eliminate the pop/burbles?
-According to the VIN decoder my car was built 10/15/2010 and does have the N18 engine. Did the very early 2011's not have this feature?
-Is the lack of overrun noises an indicator of some sort of maintenance issue?

I would think that the free flowing aftermarket exhaust would only make the burble more prominent. Perhaps your intake valves need a carbon blast?

Hopefully someone with an N18 will chime in here soon. In the mean time let's see some pics of your car with the coil overs!

possibly a dumb question, but are you letting your car warm up for a bit? Even when I had my stock exhaust it wouldn't start to pop/burble until I had let everything warm up a bit. I noticed my stock exhaust would pop/burble around 2.5 - 3k, my aftermarket exhaust now pops... pretty much everywhere lol

Aftermarket exhaust should increase the gurgle and pop.
My R56 2010 (07/2010) non-S with aftermarket exhaust/resonator have some gurgle and pops when decel on 3K.

This feature in Sport Mode for the S model was deleted (2008? I'm not sure) and reinstalled on 2011+.

Maybe you are running under 2010 software (10/15/2010).

I have 2011 MCS with an akrapovic exhaust. Before the the after market exhaust was installed it popped like crazy. Now it is more of a gurgle with no pops. So it could be your exhaust.

Yea, its should pop and make noise 2011+ in sport mode and more after you get it warm. Maybe it was coded out for a customer complaint by the dealer??
