R56 Better coils?

Better coils?
Hi,
I have a 60K miles 2010 R56 (non-S) which has had repeated issues with cylinder coils. The first time a cylinder started misfiring, Mini replaced all the coils under warranty. Sometime after the warranty expired, cylinder #1 began having misfires, and my independent mechanic replaced its coil. A year or so after that, cylinder #4 had misfires, and we replaced that coil. The mechanic seemed to think this was not an uncommon problem.
These issues were spread out over a couple of years. But I am curious - if this is a "thing" - are there aftermarket coil packs (or whatever the correct term is) which are better or more reliable?
I looked at some videos of replacing coils (and spark plugs) and it seems like something I could do myself and save on shop labor (reasonably comfortable with mechanicals though not an automotive expert). But maybe there is a "better" part to buy than whatever is OEM...?
Thanks for your thoughts!

We only use the Original MINI coils in our shop for repairs as we have found the aftermarket to fail, or put out less voltage.

So that is what we would do if your car came in our shop.
We do offer the IP coils and haven't had any issue with them, but they do cost more.
