Driver Door Noise !

I have an ugly noise at my door ("clank") when I'm opening or closing it.
It seems to be the door brake arm since it has not too much brake on the pre definide positions and the noise seems to be coming from there.

I'm avoiding to go to the official service since the part + labor will be around $ 300 (if only the brake door is replaced, message received some minutes ago).

I'm searching this part on ebay and I can get it for around $60.

It is a simple swap (remove screws, replace part, screw it) or I should go to an indy/offical shop for the change to get door adjustement?

here's a youtube video.

Haven't done it myself. Looks pretty easy, but you do have to remove the door panel.

Hope this helps

Rich,
I could see the video on youtube some days ago, but I couldn't find if it is the same procedure for the R56.
It seems the answer is yes (too similar to R53).

Thank you for your help and for the link

glad to help. That would have been my only warning to you - not sure of the difference between R53 and R56. The video is also obviously a right hand drive GB car (shouldn't matter). Good Luck
