Endlink adjustment?

When going from stock endlinks to adjustable ones how do know where to set them (length wise)? After lowering my car on coilovers I bought adjustable links. I matched the fronts to the lenght of the links that came with the coilovers and I matched the rear to the stock links. When would i want to shorten the lenght or why? The fronts I think are as short as they go and the rear I think can go shorter. When I get a different Sway bar. Do i adjust it so that they can go in and out of the holes without having to jack up the car?

The general goal is to have the sway bar approximately parallel to the ground, and
then make further adjustments to corner weight the car, if you have
the capability to do that.
