I am glad to read this! Just moved into Western New York, and I was curious if I would pass emission testing without swapping out my down pipe. I have a cat-less down pipe and Manic Stage 2, and have previously passed Connecticut state emissions testing.

Been getting inspected in NY on stage 2 and 3 tunes for 4 years now, never had issues just leaving it on a Manic map and getting inspected. NY allows one not ready monitor as long as there no CEL.

The Tune doesn't filter out the evap code

In NY you're allowed 1 NOT READY code w/ no CEL. If you are catless then that's the one permanent not ready code. Clearing all codes before you go get inspected will result in a fail, because you put everything in to the NOT READY mode. But, if you're getting a CEL for the Evap System then that will put you over the limit for codes and you will fail.

Again I’m stage 1. Totally stock exhaust. All cats intact. Fairly certain even stage 1 causes a non readiness code for cats- hoping switching to stock will get that 1 to pass. In regards to the evap code I have no idea. Can you find out what it is through the scangauge or do I have to purchase the dashcommand app?

yes, even stage one sets the cat in stock mode.

Unfortunately you’re going to have to address the evap issue
