Sea Foam and PCV Valve
I'm about to Seafoam my engine (N14). Everywhere I see people taking the hose off of the passenger side rear of the valve cover and putting the Seafoam in there. Has anyone taken the hose that goes from the driverside of the valve cover to the turbo and put the Seafoam in there, so the Seafoam goes thru the PCV in the valve cover first? Is there enough suction there?

There is a PCV valve on that side.. it wouldnt work. The port on the drivers side flows out to the turbo, and the valve closes under vacuum. *Even if some did pass..it would just dump into your oil, there is no buildup in the valve train either.
The port on the passenger side has steady vacuum from the head, so it basically sucks the seafoam fluid right in. Just cover the end of the host partially with a finger/thumb to keep the engine idle up, while keeping a small opening to pour at..the vacuum will take care of the rest.
*make sure to do this to a hot engine and then let it sit until completely cool before starting.
