Hi all. Posted before. Still bad. 09 R56 use to stutter.....stall at stopping. Put fuel cleaner in. Seemed to run better for awhile then did it again. Cleaned gas again seemed better. Now cleaner not helping. I can drive approx a mile and in that time at least 3 times it will jerk/lurch. When I feel it start to happen I can let off gas for a second then back on. It stops its “herky jerky” driving. Other symptoms are.....at different times the brake sign/circle arrow will light up. Any help would be great. Want to sell and look for another. I LOVE these cars. Grown up gocart.

 

Did you put a BMW diagnostic OBDI2 reader on there do you get any codes or any warnings? I would start there. Without that, you can rule the problem down to 3 things: Fuel, Air, or Ignition (which is a nice way to say just about everything).

How many miles on the car? "My first guess" is bad/worn out throttle body. However, that's a guess like going to a gambling house and putting all your money on Red.

Thank you for all the ideas. I had codes read a bit ago and they said O2 sensor. However was running fine. I have tried looking at electrical connections in engine compartment and first one I tried pretty much had plastic fall apart. Was able to get it connected back. It has 150,00 miles. At this point I want to get this jerking fixed and sadly get rid of her. Bitter/sweet.
