What does this plug go to?

After taking a bunch of stuff off the engine in order to replace the water pipe (from water pump to thermostat) it seems as if I have an extra electrical connector without a home. It looks a bit dirty, and possibly unused, but I'm not sure if this is some extra connector or if I missed one. Can't find anything obvious nearby that it would plug in to.

Thats for the alarm contact sensor under the hood( if optioned). Mine have a short sensor wire that connection to that and goes to the mount near the firewall. I think for a short time some cars did not come prewired and have the connecting wire. Looks at the PDF and see if you have any of those extra wires.

Thank you! Was pretty sure it was for something we don't have but nice to confirm.

Nope, not for that. That's already plugged in.

i know the one of the valve cover is plugged and this doesn't reach it anyway, BUT electrically speaking the wires trace to this plug. When i did my N18 swap, i left it hanging. There should be another plug for this one hanging under the transmission bracket or ECU.
