Dual OCC HELP!!

I have a 2010 MCS, I have installed an AEM cold air intake, finally got the intake valves walnut blasted, and now I want to install a twin oil catch can system.

Mounting locations are pretty limited, but I’m wondering if I can remove the original air tube that fed the old air box? Will the air flow through the hood scoop be enough to feed the turbo? I’m hoping the original air tube is now redundant and can just be removed...any assistance or advice you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated!!

that flair tube is pulling what cool air it can from the headlight, if you remove that tube I would think your going to be pulling warmer air from engine bay. If you had the AEM intake you would be good since it has the ram air scoop.

Jason - That was my thinking as well, I'm going to make some temporary modifications to the inlet by the headlight and the bottom opening of the AEM airbox to seal them up and then take it out for a run an d see how it goes.

Well ****, seeing as how you have the AEM, probably should have read things a bit better, you might be okay. i would be afraid of summer time temps and how hot it gets under the hood. For example, yesterday it was in the 30's with some rain, didnt drive the mini to hard into work, 15 minutes hitting 80 mph. Once i parked it looked like the mini was vaping from the hood scoop and around the hood where the turbo is. Water temps were 218-220 like the normally are, Oil was about the same as well.
