What problem are you trying to solve by installing the catch can?

Average "catchcan" will do nothing to benefit as they allow app 80% of what your wanting to trap to still pass right through and be ingested.

Only a true air/oil separating crankcase evacuation system can provide benefits by flushing and removing the combustion byproducts and oil vapors from the crankcase and intake air charge. They pull full time vacuum on the crankcase so pressure can't build to begin with, and prevent a good deal of the intake valve coking. And you never want to defeat the PCV system as it provides many functions critical to engine longevity.

Direct Injection

Decided against it as the N12 engine does not use direct injection, so the valves are getting cleaned by the incoming fuel.

You are correct as far as intake valve coking, but there are other benefits for the port injection engines. But valves you can go 100k miles and valves will still look like new.

Looking for a N18
