Mini R56 assisted steering wiring
Hi,
I'm trying to find details about the assisted power steering motor in my Mini Cooper Base 2008 (R56) to 'manually' activate the steering,
Based on Bentley, the big Black and Red wires are going to the battery, that 4 wires from connector X01188 are going to the steering torque sensor but I'm trying to figure out what the 3 wires from connector X60234 (to X10551, 10552 and X10547) are supposed to interact with...
They should trigger the motor but the electric diagram on Bentley doesn't provide a lot of details... I found some stuff about the steering pump from older generations but nothing for the electric assisted motor.
Thanks!

The red wire goes to the fuse box (front power distribution box) on the left side of the engine bay, and the brown wire is grounded on the frame in the area underneath it. The 4 wire connector does indeed go to the torque sensor. The 3 wire connector is for the ‘computer data lines system’. The yellow wire should be the ‘wake up’ wire.
