I have seen numerous posts where you guys found one or more dead cylinders or discovered the death rattle( timing chain). WARNING: Do not remove timing chain and or gears without first placing the engine in correct configuration by installing the lock pin in the flywheel and installing cam locks. If this is not done when the pressure is released on valves they can hit one another causing bent or damaged valves. Read your manual even Haynes manuals have procedure. Buy the tool kit to lock the cams comes with the lock pin.
