Help - how can I raise ground clearance by 1 inch?
Hi all - I am planning to move to Hawaii in a month and am trying to arrange shipping my 2007 R56 to Hilo, but the shipper requires 5" of ground clearance and I've only got 4". They won't load it on the boat unless I can increase that ground clearance by 1".
I'm really just looking for a temporary lift method, simply to get this car shipped; it does not pay to actually install a lift kit, and tires any larger will rub in the wheel wells.
If I can't find a way to get that extra inch, I'll be forced to sell it.
Anyone have experience w/ either of these types of coil spring spacers (or any others) that could possibly get me that extra inch? The extra 1" of clearance is only needed in the front.
From what I'm reading, I cannot tell if these (or any) spacers will provide a full inch of lift - I am hoping someone out there can clue me in from personal experience,
Thanks to any who take the time to reply!

I think you're on the right track.
If you can get something more similar to the enclosed article, and fit them with the front end on a lift or jack stands, you should be right.
I'd want a plan for the last few miles however, as I assume (1) fitting them at the shipping location may not be cool, and (2) driving with them would be a bit hazardous!
