Says I have to change battery terminal
I'm helping a friend with her '07 R56 S. It needed a new battery. The old one was a 680 CCA AGM, the new a 730 CCA lead acid. I was able to register the battery with my Foxwell scanner, but it says I have to perform a terminal change. Then in another screen carry out retrofitting programming in the battery system, and then gives me a sting of letters and numbers. As near as I can tell, all it actually did was update the date the battery was changed. But it won't let me change the type of battery or CCA rating until I do the other two things.
I have no clue how to do whatever programming it wants. And on the battery terminals, I know it has the IBIS deal on the cable, but I can't find where there are different ones, and not sure why the one on there would have to be changed.
How to I proceed on this?
