Newer seats 2014

Can the new style mini cooper seats be retrofitted in the earlier models R56S 2008-2013 mini coopers...

They won't be a direct bolt in, but anything can be fitted, just need a little bit of creativity:

With a little know-how and enthusiasm you can do anything, but is that considered a retro fit? Im not sure.

Anyways, please do the swap and make a write up about it so we can all learn!
