R57 In-Tank Fuel Pump out?

Right up front no I do not know.
It may not even be possible.
Old fuel pump from my Boxster:
After I got the housing off...
New fuel pump...
You will note how aged the plastic housing is. And the hoses. The risk is even if the housing can come apart due to age you might break something. Also, not pictured but the bottom of the fuel pump housing is the fuel filter. It is a fine plastic mesh. While it wasn't that bad the mesh had some amount of particulate matter trapped. This was after around 200K miles of use. Still with a new pump and its housing and new fuel hoses/lines/connectors you run less risk of one of those items failing. So my advice is even if you can get the housing apart and remove the pump proper and replace it with a new one you probably shouldn't. You should replace the entire fuel pump assembly, the housing with its new hoses/connectors/etc and be done with it.
