Is there a special tool?

Replaced the front and rear sway bar linkages on my 2007 Cooper.

As anyone who has done this knows the two attaching bolts on the front linkages and one bolt on each of the two rear linkages is a devilish creation with the bolt having a center hole in which to insert a hex wrench to hold the bolt while using a 16mm open- or box-end to remove the nut. I got the old ones out and new ones in but it was not a lot of fun.

Does BMW/Cooper make a special tool for this? If they do, I suspect it costs about 1/2 as much as the car.

It's designed for an Allen wrench/ hex key as you mentioned. I managed to strip out the inside with the correct tool anyway, so lucky for me there was a flat spot on the bolt wide enough for me to get a Vice-Grips on to get it off.
