R56 car radio issues

car radio issues
Hello, I bought a used 48k Km 2011 R56 Mini a few weeks ago.
Apart from a few parts I had to change for wear and tear, I'm trying to swap my car radio for an aftermarket BT one. I paid the shop for the job, but when they saw the whole panel business, they said it couldn't be done!
I guess not with an aftermarket kit, but with a specific hatchback panel that replaces the larger odometer
However I'm down for now with a bt adapter, unfortunately it seems my AUX in has some issues... occasional scratchy sound and I have to wiggle it a little out to get both speakers working.
Is it possible to just pop out the aux adapter and replace it? Or I need to dismantle the whole panel to get to it?
Thanks, whoever might answer
