Piston Oil Sprayers 2011 Mini Cooper Base

We bought a non running '11 MCB and found broken rings and pistons. Had the block re-sleeved and ready to assemble but saw oil sprayers in an assembly video. Are the sprayers on all Mini engines or just the S and JCW engines?

Post the link to the assembly video. I looked in Mitchell1 for the N16 engine, and I didn't see anything about piston lubrication.

If you disassembled the engine, did you see sprayers or not?

No oil sprayers

There were none but not sure if the previous person never put them in. I didn't see any threaded ports when I went into it again.

I am really new to minis and the forum, Is there a link to a service manual or engine build sheet? The block is sleeved back to stock but the new stock OEM Pistons seem small. Each bore is about 76.8mm and the Pistons are about 75.5mm. We need the gap spec for the rings and piston to wall clearance to make sure they are correct.

As far as I have read, just the JCW block had the piston sprayers. But I saw a block online from an S that had it as well so it had me wondering. N14 is what I am referring too. Not sure about N18. But I don't think the base engines had it at all.

Do Oil Pump Wires need sealer?

Do the oil pump wires require sealer on the part where they come out of the engine? I haven’t been able to find anything. Thanks for the help along the way, breaking this thing down and putting it back together has been fun.

There is a rubber gasket that is used to seal that passage:
