https://bmwfault.codes/

It appears that your heater/AC control module is unable to communicate with the JBE or DME.

It has both heat and cooling with no issues. I just happen to scan it and saw the codes. I did change the switches and put in new seats that have the heated seat option. I know I have to do a lot more than just install them.

What switches? A BMW/MINI scan tool may be required to code the newly installed IHKA(auto)/IHKS(manual) parts.

All of the newly installed items likely require IHKA coding to communicate with the JBE.

Welp. Looks like I’m going to have to learn how to code and start buying what I need for it.

Would the codes possibly be for the heated seat option (switches)?

Both switches and seats - see my edited post above.

Ok. It makes sense that would be the error codes now. Well now I’m just going to have to figure out what I need to do some coding.

You have many options. Whatever option interests you, contact the scan tool manufacturer to ensure that the tool can do the IHKA coding that you need on your specific MINI (provide VIN).

However, given the CAN bus communication failure between the IHKA module and JBE, some function(s) of the newly installed parts should not be working properly.

Seems like everything is working. Thats why I didn’t think much of it after I installed everything. A/C, Max A/C, Auto, Heat and all the switches work. So the only things not working or powering up is the heated seat switches which I knew wouldn’t without some coding.

The heated seats seem to be throwing the IHKA-related codes.
