Geez guys, :impatient I'll try to get to it later today, or this evening. They are not really that great of shots. I don't have time to do it right now. Have to drive to Carson City NV and back today. But I will when I get back. they are not that good, really.

Please dont light the torches, and sharpen the pitchforks yet.

I'm leaving for your house now...

The freshly sharpened pitchfork barely fits in the trunk of my MINI.

Come on over, and bring the pitchfork, I have twelve tons of hay to move, and could use the help.

Ok, here we go. None of the pictures are that great, but here they are. I didn't get any close ups because when I was talking to they guys about them they asked me not to take pictures. But when you are in a public place I fugured it should be ok. I was hopeing to get better pictures of the hood/ light area, but have not had any luck thus far. Maybe tomorrow:smile:

First shot, kind of a profile, not sure what's going on with the rear of the one in the far back

more of the same

Sorry, out of focus

not a MINI, but something new???

Front of an S, hard to tell from the picture exactly what is going on.. Sorry.... Much better in person.

More, This morning

Another one this morning. This time Cooper, note the holes in the hood?? (also, sorry about the bug splat that was on my window )

One passing me on the way home this afternoon. The front is quit different, but the rear looks about the same as the current ones.

And the last one of the day, standard Cooper

Again sorry for the blurry shots, but kinda tricky at 65mph using a digital camera that never seems to take the picture when you press the button. If they are out tomorrow I'll try to get some more.

They really do look good in person, I swear.....

Looking good. Looks like they didn't change as much as we all expected...that's a plus.

I noticed they got rid of the cool antenna and put one of the low profile "BMWesque lumps" in it's place. Oh well, I'll live.

I'm curious to see if the interior looks like the spy pics we've all seen, or if it is closer in design to the current interior. The spy pics were pretty drastic.

Interior things. No pics, wouldn't let me.

Speedo looked larger, and the tach had a larger computer screen (for lack of a better name). They said the door panels were going to change alittle bit, and the cup holders were going to move back alittle to allow for full sized drinks.

Oh, to those of you who were asking if the S will be turbo or not, it definatly is. Did not got HP numbers on either model though.

Thanks for the shots! It definitely looks like there's significantly more weight forward of the front wheels. What effect on handling, I wonder?

And I wish MINI would spend half as much time trying to fix the rough idle as they do mucking about with the stupid cupholders.

Yes the speedo will be larger. Yes there will be a fuller readout in the tach (as well as an optional nav in the speedo with iDrive). yes the door panels will change. Yes the cup holders will be moving. Yes the MCS will be a turbo and will still have a hood scoop.

How's that for some verification ;-) BTW the reason the rear portion looks the same is because it is. This is a test mule with R53/R50 body work. The true R56 body work would not have been used for testing.

Oh and btw - there will be less weight up front. The extra body work is to comply with Euro pedestrian crash standards. In fact the new aluminum block engine will be quite a bit lighter than the current lump.

Finally, I hate to beat a dead horse but if you'd like to know a ton more check out this article: http://www.motoringfile.com/2005/03/..._mini_revealed

You know for stalling that long for pix you should have been required to relinquish possession of you MINI to me. Though you would still have to maintain payments!

OH GOD NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand that MINI is a BMW product but we most definately DO NOT NEED iDrive!

Once again BMW goes Fu_k_ng things up on a perfect car!

If I wanted to have all the iDrive headaches I would have gone 3 series. I want a pure motoring experience, Not techno Bull Sh_t!

Naw beating dead horses can be a good thing. Those cars in that article could be the same ones that are here.. Who knows. Interior shots in article have simularitys (sp?) but definatly not the same. I only got shots of a couple of cars, there are about 10-12 around, all seem to be alittle different. In my first shot, there is one in the back of the shot that I'm not sure whats going on with it

Thanks for posting the pics!!! I think the Cooper looks pretty good. New 3 series looks fantastic.

I'm glad you took the time to take and post them. Maybe you have a future in spy shots?

ps- the torches have been snuffed out.

Hmm... looks like seven or eigh MINIs. So should we figure they're testing eight different configurations?

Oh crap...Gabe, and I was hoping these spy shots meant the rear wasn't really going to change. The rear in some of the shots on Motoringfile is down-right scary looking. I guess I'll have to wait and see what it looks like without all the camo all over it...I'm not a patient gal.
