i-drive

Anyone else noticed-seen this? Is this really necessary? Anyone have experience with the i-drive system on other BMW cars?

If you choose to get Nav in your '07, that's the interface you'll get.

No Nav, no iDrive...

A friend of mine in Switzerland has a BMW 120 that has iDrive... I was actually surprised how cool it is! I always heared it was a pain in the *** but after trying it out in my friends bimmer I like it.

I'm sort of on the fence about this one...my mother has a BMW 525 which I occasionally drive when I visit her. It has the i-drive system. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it's not so bad. If given the choice, I probably wouldn't want it, but I wouldn't strenuously object to it either.

Got a loaner BMW with Idrive when my MINI was in for repairs. It was a pain at first, but then became second nature. Like anything else, you just have to get used to it.
