JCW seat is great, but look at the Renault/Recaro next to it. Looks way better!

def still not the biggest fan of the r56, but these real life paris pics are def making it look better. i also noticed the car definitely looks better in metallic colors so far, flat colors just make this car look way to toyish, where red is one of my fav's on teh current car (it just has a sort of classic look) i can alread tell its just not working on the r56

also i dont think that that is a JCW seat, look at the adjustment *****. those looks much more like sport seats for a vw or audi product

correct
The left seat is a Recaro for a Renault Clio sport and the right seat is Audi RS4 .
If you look at the JCW seats they are almost exact ,if not the same seat as the Renault .http://www.mini.com/com/en/john_coop...ge/content.jsp

Does the Ingnition/keyless entry unit have to be so damn big? It defeats the purpose and convenience of having no keys in your pocket.

Love the toggles on the headliner, but looks like they've duplicated the same switches as on the console.....pics from different models, maybe?

Wing looks a bit too bulbous for my tastes. The current OEM S spoiler looks better to my eye.

You have to put it in the slot and then push the button. I think a normal key would be just as convenient. I like the way Nissan does it, you can leave it in your pocket and just push a button.

Also is the hood scoop still fake on the JCW?

If you get the convience package, or im assuming a standalone option, all you have to do is have the indentifier on your person

Not only that, but they GOT RID OF THE COWL VENTS! What the heck? Keep an ugly, non-functional scoop and get rid of FUNCTIONAL cowl vents??

The Cooper grill is very nice....I like the way (or so it appears) that they slightly rolled the side edges of the chrome grill slats similar to what was seen on the Traveller concepts.

I am also now (believe it or not) happy w/ the side grill/repeaters on the Cooper (as if a Mini needs a grill there anyway). I happened upon a pic of a current MINI and they looked small-ish. It was at that moment I knew I'd "crossed-over" after looking at lots of R56 pics. I like!

Frankly, I'm swooning over the Cooper here on many levels, although I am still trying to figure out the contoured bits amid the windshield wipers between the glass and the bonnet. I suspect there is a reason for this feature....that's all I need really. Perhaps airflow or "pedestrial impact" related??

I'm sure that change was done to save manufacturing costs. They can now make that panel with a single stamping, instead of two. It doesn't look better to me; it looks cheaper.

Seaking solely for Cooper, it always looked cheap...and useless....to me, even on R50. More a BMW thing than Mini, which I guess under the circumstances was somewhat appropriate. I'm good w/ the new one for the Cooper, though....not so much the MCS.

Classic Minis had side indicators, but they weren't at the edge of a panel.

Yes, and they didn't have "grills" either....a very BMW thing, imo, from the 507 to the Z3.

I suppose it's hard for me to hide my dissapointment..it's amazing how a few little changes have ruined the aesthetics of the car for me.

Every picture I see I like it less....

Harsh? Well...seeing as it's not directed at any individual I don't feel
particularly remorseful about my comment...

(I was also very dissapointed with the GP...)
