Flew back from LA last night. Arrived 12:30AM. Got to sleep at 3:30. Up at 5:30 (yes, with the time shift I got up before I went to bed). My buddy from Atlanta and I hit the show at 7:10. Walked quickly to the MINI display. Saw it, loved it a lot. Need to investigate a kit to reduce the size of the 'bulbous' side vents, but other than that really looks great in person, especially the JCW or Aero or whatever body kit on the yellow car...NICEEEEE. What they were giving out today was the regular dealer brochure (still nice). Very friendly peeps in the booth!

ill be going either the 18th or 19th, looking forward to it
MSFIT i didnt know you designed cars, i know its your job and you cna probably speak little, but can you indulge a few tidbits on the c7, atleast to the degree of on sale date, and will it be a radical redesign or more evolutionary, sorry for going OT, and i understand if you cant even say a word about the c7, thats probably one of GM's most regarded product, and is put the most effort to keep silent on new generations

Had a chance to look around and sit in the R56. Really like the interior and seats ... much more comfortable than my '02 MCS. Not used to the minor exterior changes (larger side vents, larger exposed windshield wiper resting area, faux hood scoop and lower rear intakes on the JCW body kit). The JCW carbon fiber wing is GREAT! I'm sure those upgrading to the R56 will enjoy it. Cheers!

Diffuser is painted body color instead of black!
Hmm. They didn't paint the diffuser black as was intended by JCW (or at least not as seen on JCW site). Most other manufacturers appear to paint the diffuser black to call out that panel. I hope Mini paints mine the way JCW did theirs on the original car.

Phil,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of those wonderful photos. All of the things I was worried about (the infamous gap, the bigger speedo, the radio layout, etc.) are history. I am in lust with this car and cannot wait for mine to arrive.
Thanks again.
dean.

Yes, I ordered the JCW Aero kit on our R56. That's the only OEM Aero kit available at the moment, as the Aero kit that's paired in the Hypesport is MIA. Who else has ordered this? Still haven't gotten a quote on install price.
