Wow. The back of that MY/B JCW car is, um..... yeah.
Oooo! I kinda like these wheels, though:

Thanks so much for the great pictures.
A question: what is this ?

I've noticed this tiny access panel in press shots and wondered what was behind it. I kinda' wish they had put one on the other side, even if a fake, to make it symmetrical. I notice there is one on the rear bumper too.
Thanks.
dean.

Possibly where the tow hook screws in?
Yeah, the JCW Aero bumper has a plug in the same spot:

Did you notice the secret compartment on the passenger side. I asked the MINI marketing rep there if they are going to mark it visibly and he said, "why, Only you guys should know?" I thought that was cool. It is very cool that with all the new sheet metal that the car still looks like the original new MINI.

thanks!
It was insanely crowded on the opening day for the public. I wasn't able to get any full overview shots of the MINIs without people interfering. The lighting also made it difficult to capture the true colors, so it will be worth seeing the new MINIs in person. Of the new colors available, they had the mellow yellow, laser blue, and sparkling silver on display... no lightning blue. They did not have a model with the new navigation system either.
More than once I heard someone come up to the bonnet and explain to someone else that "on the old model the headlights go up with the bonnet... "
