I think your only question not answered was "C" about the sunroof shade.
Yes, the 2007 has a mesh shade that can be pulled. I like the 2007 better because it is not spring loaded. You can open it or close it any amount. Easier to use than the 2006.
I assumed that if I didn't order the rear fog lights, I would have a spot without a switch, so I went the $100.00 just in case and ordered the rear fog. I hated my missing switches on our 2004.

Update: i know people are saying dont always listen what you hear on the forums, get what you want, but a lot of you have good points! So my new and number 1 plan is getting a Cooper S with DSC and bonnet stripes and the special key feature with the "leave in your pocket". I could live without all the other stuff, ie. sunroof, digital ac, arm rest, but the extra HP is always nice, better accel. looks cooler, and has more ways you can add stuff to it later on.
