Toughest choice...
When you ordered your first MINI, whether it was an R50, 53 or 56, what choice did you struggle with most? Color combination? Transmission type? Wheels? Interior?
The number of choices and the ability to personalize the car is one of the coolest things about MINI ...yet at the same time it can be incredibly frustrating. I found it downright agonizing at times.
I had the most trouble with the sunroof and am still not sure I made the right choice.
So, what was the toughest part of the decision making process for you? Or, was it really easy and you knew right off the bat exactly what you wanted?

Me too. I hated those choices, and I also struggled with interior surface silver or brushed alloy. LSD was tough too, but for less "superficial" reasons.

Exterior color & bling is for other people to enjoy.
Interior colors & accessories are all about you, the driver. I like to be pampered. Toasty buns in leather... MmmmmmMmmmm (heated lounge leather seats, that is).

Ahah, I'm only concerned about staying my seat around corners. Otherwise I'm too busy anticipating the next bend in the road. (or checking for cops)

So, it seems color was a tough choice for most folks. I thought it was going to be difficult ...but it ended up being really easy.
I was completely torn between LB and CR and when I went for a test drive the demo car was CR. That sealed it ...or so I thought.
The very next day as I was driving to work I pulled up next to a DS MCS with a black roof, black bonnet stripes and chrome mirrors. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. I pulled behind to check out the rear and then I got in front of it to look at the nose. I am pretty sure the driver knew I was checking out his car as he was smiling from ear-to-ear ...or maybe MINI drivers just smile all the time.
Anyhow, DS was a done deal !

I've always bought cars off the lot - never had a choice of color. Red? Ok, we'll take it. Having to choose a color was making my head spin. I liked SS, DS, I liked BRG, I liked PW, CR, and the Yellow (my fiat X19 was a similar yellow with a black roof of course...) The only way I could get out of it was deciding I was not going to spend for metallic paint. Down to three colors the choice was much easier - I picked the same color as my outgoing Integra (which was what they had on the lot!) Whew. Weaseled out of that tough choice...
