Just picked my 1st Mini Cooper S from Assael on Saturday. Since this is my first one, all I can say is WOW...My wife thinks I am crazy. I picked this car over Z4M Coupe
Anyhow, it has 27 miles so far..probably not going to see that much mile but I will try to drive it every chance I get.
Congrats on your MINI!
What specs on your S?
Welcome to the world of MINIs!
Enjoy. Your review and your decision making process will be appreciated.

Welcome to NAM! You made a good choice. Maybe someday you can have both. My friend has an '03 MCS and an '06 Z4M coupe, and my bro has an '05 MCS and a Z3M Roadster. Neither of them was willing to give up their MINI to get it... they found other ways.
How long before your MINI finds out your NAM name is BMW oriented?
Welcome. Pictures are required before getting getting hired at "the Lounge."

Thanks guys,
I had the '03 ZHP (Clubspec as I called it) which I traded it for my '05 M3 ZCP.
The reason I picked MCS over Z4M Coupe? Because I couldn'f afford it..that was it.. Basically, I already have another roadster in the house. One 2 seater is enough.
Well, the MCS will be driven only on weekend and occasional track car. It won't even be driven to the track, I used my X5 for that.
When we pick it up, it has 7 miles on it. I called wife today...she put another good 25 miles on it. Oh no..she is going to use the Mini more than me..
I have been travelling on business..we'll take the picture of Mini once I get back home. Here my mini

Web 17" (which will be replaced with 16" and R-compound pretty soon)
Great specs, but why replace the 17's with 16's. And what is R-compound.
R-compound is a very soft compound tire used to make other autocrossers feel inferior . They can result in a 2-5 second advantage on a 60 second course.
16" wheels were required to run stock class in SCCA on the R53. This may be the reason to run them. 16" was also determined to be a good size for competition anyway. Keeping the mass of the wheel down (and closer to the center, is important for acceleration and handling, and I believe the r-90 web spokes are relatively heavy .

Oh, right, you mentioned you would use it for the track. Thanks, sounds like you're going to have a great time
