Thanks Oxy At first I wanted Chili Red but the Pure Silver really started to catch my eye. I think it's a rare color for Mini and it has a real sports car look.

Here is my new baby. No real mods yet. (just a rear badge holder and a stubby in the pic) I took posession 4 days ago, and I just can't stop grinning when I see it. Love this car.

 

i did a little painting to make the side markers not stand out so much... what do you guys think?

 

I like the handles for picking it up & carrying it around... I want to get those too.

Mr. Cooper is an everyday driver (about 52 miles round trip) and is averaging 38-40mpg. This is one great car!

I am confused with the gas cap. I thought the S ones were different looking?

Yes, the S caps are usually recessed and aren't flush with the body.

 

Yeah, aren't they the chrome caps always on the S? Maybe this MINI is now super-collectible, like when the post office misprints a stamp. Maybe he should name his car Inverted Jenny.

I picked up my new S on Thursday (No name yet). I actually traded in a Camry Hybrid for this and I am so glad that I did. I have fun driving again. Thanks to all that helped me make up my mind. Mini's Rock!

 

Wasn't going to name the car (how silly to name a car?!?) Anyway ,during the interminable 7-week wait, I was constantly wondering..."where's the car, where's the car"...then I remembered "Where's Waldo". Then it occurred to me...Waldo wears a red and white striped shirt...wait a minute, my MINI is red and white striped! And Waldo sounds British...and my MINI is built in the UK! So it just stuck!



Anyway, this is a pic on the showroom floor. Getting a better camera and will post close-up pics of the blackjack side scuttles as well (had searched for that pic before ordering but wasn't able to find one, so maybe it will help a fellow NAM'er down the road!). I think they look really sharp. I just had to have them (see my screen name!) when I saw them in the configurator. Got the dealer to throw them in as part of the deal.

 

Very cool name and concept! I love how the names that folks give to their MINI's evolve. Never thought that I'd name mine, either, but it happened!
