Great looking MINI.Chrome caps are standard on the MCS and an option on the MC but the MC gas door is NOT an option on the MCS.I'd love to hear your MA's explanation.

Yeah, that is really strange. I actually like it better this way I think. Is there any technical benefit to the "S" gascap? Or is it just an appearance thing?

It has always been an apperance thing but I like yours with the door.I guess with gas prices the way they are it's better with a locked gas door vs. an open cap!

My future mother in law lives up in Blaine and she was telling us that last week she received a leaflet through her door warning about people syphoning gas from people's cars. I was totally shocked and it made me a bit apprehensive seeing as our caps don't lock.

Mine locks as well, if yours doesn't you should seek dealer help.

Sorry my mistake then! I haven't got my car yet as the JCW isn't released till the 14th but I figured since the gas cap is a simple screw off/on that it didn't lock. Hearing that it locks when the doors are locked is very reassuring! LuxoDave I'll post plenty of pics next Monday after I pick it up! It won't have all of the CF goodies on it unfortunately because I'm not getting them from my dealer.

So, you've got a gas-filler door on your car, but you don't know why you've got it?
Are you planning to ask your MA?

The US gets the R113's, the UK gets the R112's... just for now at least!

I saw the UK JCW brochure yesterday which hasn't been released to the public yet and the R113 wheels were shown in there and the R113 wheels shown above are on a Dutch MINI. The R112 wheels are the ones on the factory JCW as standard worldwide aren't they?
