Thanks guys.

First mod will be my Alta stubby aerial - haha.

Then I like the look of the new JCW brake duct inserts for the aero bumper and the new more aggressive lower splitter. They don't look too expensive to retrofit either.

Yeah, no recaro seats for us, which is an absolute bummer. I'm a big fan of leather interiors but I didn't not like the leatherette seats at all, and I bought off the lot, so I ended up with cloth.

That said, I do like the cloth seats a lot, until someone gets in the car wearing sunscreen that hasn't dried completely...

I've seen them make this error before. It appears your steering wheel is mounted on the wrong side. It's subtle but noticeable

Beautiful car!!!

Thanks for the positive comments.

So, how come you guys didn't get the recaro's? Is it down to some US laws?

Just got mine a few weeks ago and this is my first post. I got the MCS with cold weather package, rear fog lights and white turn signals in Astro Black with matching roof. Hopefully I can make a few chanes in the future to it.
Enjoy!

i'm honestly thinking it has more to do with mini usa thinking it's not "worth it", kinda like how they left out the front windshield heaters and the option to have the engine shut off while sitting at idle.

Only reason i think that is because they come with the weight sensors as well as the side air-bags, and they're Recaro's so I'm sure they're "structurally sound" so they should meet our safety standards...

i want 'em so bad.

I guess MINI believes that, like most car manufacturers, that people in the U.S. will settle for less. It is a shame... I'd drop a grand and a half on those seats!

I'd probably have dropped another option to get those... I'd have dropped the "premium package" and gotten these instead.

Take a look at this site, and scroll to the bottom of the page...

http://www.genuinemini.co.uk/acatalo...cessories.html

If there were enough of you after them, maybe you could get some kind of group buy going, the only thing is that I suppose shipping might be expensive........

I've just been back on that site, and it seems to have a shipping calculator...

For example.

A pair of JCW leather Recaro's with the new style logo would cost £2915.54 and the shipping to California would be £156.00

Total cost: £2,351.54

^woah.

even with the pound to dollar conversion being a bit better then previous years, that's waay too expensive, it'd be roughly $3,500.

You could get a set of Recaro Sportster CS way cheaper here. I think that's what the JCW seats are.

Although, I was looking and recaro offers the Sportster CS with side airbags in the UK, but not in the US.

Maybe that's why, Recaro's air bags might not meet some standard here.
