Today was the first time my MCS, Lil Pip, met some Zaino and the business end of a water hose. I just got the springs installed (H&R) the other day. I know what wheels I want, but I'm worried about the weight (22lbs).

OEM wheels are almost always bricks (and nearly indestructible).

Wow, my 15" R100s are only 13.7 pounds? How can that be when everything else is so heavy? Cool.

I looked again and it makes me feel a little bit better to see that most of the factory 17s are at least 22lbs. I'm going to go with non-runflats and these wheels in gray - MSR Style 43

This might be a silly question but how to pop that cover off where you have your tow ring? and when it is popped off can it be placed back on incase i decide i don't like the look?

hey toolazyforalogin,
question,

can you take a close up/detail of your headlights? and maybe one of the front of your car?

I ask because I have a DS w/ everything blacked out (somewhat similar to yours). Yet I mistankingly didn't purchase the nicer headlights when I bought my car. I haven't seen anyone paint the interior area of the regular lights on their Mini like you have. I'd be interested in seeing more photos of yours to determine what you painted and if it's something I'd like to do to mine?

thanks!

I'm curious to know as well...
are the covers easy to pop off and put back on?
this may not be the right place to post, but I just happened across this one in my subscriptions..

Check my gallery for a few pics - it's called a joey mod and there's a huge thread on it here - https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...y-mod-r56.html

The cover pops right off - I actually bought another bumper cover since I didn't want to touch my stock one (new ones come primed) and bought some paint to match SS from Minspeed.net and carefully cut a hole in it so that the tow hook would fit perfectly. The only drawback is that the color is not 100% perfect and I didn't clear coat it and has started to chip slightly.

Thanks although I got the idea from BlackSapphire - I actually ordered the MINI centercaps from Aesthetic Creations and not the Mini wings....they sent the wrong ones and my wife put them on yesterday while I was out on when they came in the mail before checking with me if they were correct. Although I haven't contacted Mike I'm pretty sure I'm stuck w/ them now....think he'll send out the correct ones if I call him?

By they way you know we met @ Helix right?

Now I'm wondering how silver Konig Feathers will look on my car. The Konigs will be 7lbs lighter per wheel, I like the way they look and I think they will be easy to clean. On the other hand, the MSR wheels I'm looking at are the same color of my car with a chrome/polished inset strip around the edge.

Any thoughts or opinions?
